    ILS celebrates Ward Feed Yard's 50th Anniversary

    Over 1500 Larned residents and ILS employees enjoy a community barbeque and concert  in the court house square on June 9th in celebration of Ward Feed Yard's 50th Anniversary.


    Mayor Robert Pivonka presents Lee Borck with a city proclamation declaring June 9th, 2012 as Lee Borck / Ward Feed Yard Day in Larned, KS in recognition of the many contributions Ward Feed Yard has made to the Larned community over the previous 50 years.

    Innovative Livestock Services, Inc. announces their 2012 Scholarship Recipients 

    The ILS Scholarship Fund was established for the children of ILS employees to reward and recognize the achievements of outstanding individuals in rural communities who have distinguished themselves during their high school years. 

    Javier Ulises Ortiz: A graduate of Macksville High School in Macksville, KS.  Javier plans to begin his college education at Barton Community College where he will major in Art / Art Education.  Javier is the son of Fabian Ramon and Susana Ortiz.  Ramon has worked at Dillwyn Feedyard for over 10 years.  

     

    Casie Lynn Aldrich: A graduate of Larned High School.  Casie plans to attend Fort Hays State University to obtain a degree in Nursing.  After that she plans on attending KU and work toward a degree in Physical Therapy.  She is the daughter of Doug and Jennifer Aldrich.  Doug has been the Maintenance Foreman for Ward Feed Yard for nine years. 

     

     Kayla Sue Temple: A graduate of Great Bend High School in Great Bend, KS.  Kayla plans to begin her college education at Pratt Community College to obtain her Associate’s Degree in Science.  After that she plans to attend Cleveland Chiropractic College in Overland Park, KS.  Kayla is the daughter of Scott Temple and Amy Russell.  Scott has been the Cattle Manager at Great Bend Feeding for 10 years.

     

    Enrique Lira, Jr: A graduate of Great Bend High School in Great Bend, KS.  Enrique will be attending Tulsa Welding School where he will become a Professional Welder.  Enrique is the son of Enrique and Minerva Lira.  Enrique has been employed by Great Bend Feeding for 12 years.
